Meet Dr. Magic

Gary Elem, also known as Dr. Magic, has been a professional Comedy Magic Entertainer for over 20 years. He has performed internationally in Europe, Canada, Mexico, throughout the United States and on cruiseships for ages 4 to 104 and groups of 10 to 1,500. Gary loves to make others laugh and smile during his show. We all need to laugh more and Gary brings the gift of laughter with him to every type of special event from Birthday Parties to Corporate Dinners and from Family Reunions to Large Company Picnics.

Gary has created amazing, fun-filled and whimsical comedy magic shows for other special events including Anniversaries, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Wedding Receptions, High School Grad Nights, Business Trade Shows and numerous Grand Openings too.

Gary personalizes the shows to highlight audience members as the "Stars of the Show" and gets them the applause they deserve. Gary performs close-up, walkaround magic for some events and often combines his close-up magic with stage show/parlour-style comedy magic for a full evening of professional entertainment.

CHILDREN'S COMEDY MAGIC SHOWS

Dr. Magic really enjoys performing for Children's Parties and he gets everyone involved in the fun-filled magical experience. He makes sure the children are the "Stars of the Show" (whether it's an 8 year old's Birthday Party or a Family Picnic with 40 children of all ages).

Dr. Magic's shows include the following benefits:

A full 30 or 45 minute show filled with fast-paced, amazing comedy magic that is always age appropriate and a whole lot of fun too!
Everyone enjoys great audience participation with funny magical words, magical waves and really funny magical wands (Like stuffed animals and magical wands that bend, stretch and change shapes right before your eyes!).
Dr. Magic does tricks that the audience will long remember...they are very impressive visually and amazing to experience !
Specific Benefits of Dr. Magic's Birthday Party Shows:
Each child receives a colorful Nametag so that Dr. Magic can call them by name as he works with them as his Special Magician's Assistants on stage. The children take a bow at the end of their trick and receive the well-deserved applause as the "Stars of the Show"!
The Birthday Child is highlighted during three special tricks in the show and Dr. Magic utilizes the personalized information about them (hobbies, sports, talents, pets and interests) throughout the show to focus on them during their Special Day!
Each child also receives a colorful "Magician's Assistant Sticker" to wear during the party and an 8 1/2" by 11" Cardstock "Magician's Assistant Certificate" to take home to display on their bulletin board or wall.
The Birthday Child receives 5 Balloon Animals and a very big 5-balloon Birthday Hat that can be worn for a photo with the Birthday Cake and Dr. Magic!
During the show, the parents and other adults can relax as the children are entertained and have one of their best times ever!!
Dr. Magic sends the Birthday Child a set of 12 fun-filled pictures of their Birthday Party a week after the party.
Dr. Magic also highlights any Special Party Theme the Birthday Child has chosen (Harry Potter, Barbie/Princess, Dinosaurs, Space themes, etc.) with unique magical words and special theme magical wands too!
If the parents choose, Dr. Magic can make Balloon Animals, Colorful Balloon Hats or Balloon Magic Wands for all of the children to have at the end of the party.

COMEDY MAGIC SHOWS
FOR ALL AGES!

Dr. Magic has performed Comedy Magic Shows for adult groups for over 20 years throughout the United States, in Europe, Canada, Mexico and even on Cruiseships. He loves to personalize shows for small businesses, large companies and non-profit organizations too. He adds those special "Magical Touches" to his adult shows and his audiences respond with guffaws, chortles, belly laughs and amazement too!

Dr. Magic personalizes each show by adding specific information that the business, corporation or group share with him to enhance the show. He will highlight business accomplishments, product promotion ideas and positive points while he magically produces "from nowhere" the company logo, promotional materials or actual products during the trick!

Dr. Magic also asks for a list of 12-16 guests to be the "Stars of the Show"and he uses their nicknames, hobbies, sports, interests and positive funny stories in a "tongue-in-cheek" psychic way as he invites them up to assist him with a trick. They will get the applause as they leave the stage with candy too. No one is ever embarrassed or disrespected during Dr. Magic's show and he only uses clean, appropriate comedy throughout his show.
Dr. Magic has 2 completely different shows for repeat business for adults and seniors too.

Remember...Laughter is the best medicine and Dr. Magic gives his audiences a double dose of laughter and magic for good measure!

Close-Up/Walkaround &
Table Hopping Comedy Magic

Along with the 30 or 45 minute Comedy Magic Stage Shows Dr. Magic also performs Close-Up, Walkaround or Table Hopping magic. If the event is better suited to this style of magic then Dr. Magic can do 1 to 3 hours of close-up magic either with or without a stage show. The close-up comedy magic involves hilarious, unforgettable magic with very interactive fun too. Audiences are amazed at what happens "magically" right in front of them and right in their own hands!

SENIOR COMEDY MAGIC SHOWS

Senior citizens are a great group to entertain...they have such wonderful child-like enthusiasm and curiosity too! Dr. Magic utilizes nostalgic references, funny magical wands, musical references from the 1920's to the 1950's to add that "personal touch" for the seniors to enjoy.

Dr. Magic always uses his sound system so everyone will be able to hear the comedy lines. He uses larger hand-held props so that everyone can see the magic from every angle in the room.

Dr. Magic personalizes his comedy magic for the area in which he is performing. He also uses references the seniors can relate to from their past. Dr. Magic uses clean, positive humor only. He always makes sure the seniors get the applause and the positive recognition they deserve as his Magical Assistants in the show.

...And did you know that seniors love balloon animals and colorful balloon hats too? They do! And they are so patient and appreciative of the balloon gifts too! You know, they really love those 6" heart-shaped balloons that Dr. Magic makes into balloon flowers and also adds to those colorful balloon hats too!
